Thanks for signing up to be a part of the WTYM iPhone Beta! To get started, just follow the 4 simple steps below
Step 1: Email Me Your Info
For the Beta, I need to know:
- What generation iPhone/iPod you’re running it on
- What version OS you have? 2.1? 3.0?
- Jailbroken?
- Your iPhone’s Device ID
Getting the Device ID
Before you can run the WTYM iPhone app on your iPhone/iPod, I need to know you’re iPhone/iPod’s Device ID. There’s two ways to get me your device id:
Option 1: Ad Hoc Helper
Download the free Ad Hoc Helper app and email your Device ID to me directly from your iPhone.
Option 2: Find it in iTunes
- Open iTunes and click on your iPhone in the sidebar
- Click on the Serial Number black label. It doesn’t look like something you can click on, unfortunately, making this more of a “hidden feature”. Serial Number will turn into Identifier (UDID).
- Press Ctrl+C
- Paste into an email and send it to me
Step 2: Download and Install WTYM
Download and Install WTYM on your Mac. You’ll need a Mac running OS 10.5. Download v0.2.7 here, and drag the .app to your Applications folder.
Once I get you’re iPhone info + Device ID, I’ll email you .zip file containing WTYM for the iPhone. The link will be a .zip file that contains: (1) the WTYM .app and (2) a provisioning profile file. Drag both of these files into iTunes. Then sync your device like normal and WTYM should show up on your home screen!
Step 3: Send Me Your Feedback
I’ve built in a feedback form directly into the app. You can also email directly to welcome@toyourmac.com. Stuff I want to know:
- Feature requests!
- Bug reports!
- Anything that seems not quite right
- Did it crash? what were you doing when that happened?
- Anything unexpected
- UI feedback
- Anything! Everything!
- the more feedback you give me the better!
Step 4: Tell your friends!
I still have slots open in the beta, so if you have someone that’s interested in using the app, tell them to email me at welcome@toyourmac.com! The more people beta testing the better the final release will be.
Thanks!
Feel free to email me with any questions along the way: welcome@toyourmac.com! Or just add a comment below!
